Entrepreneur Mike Rosenbaum Slams Hogan For Inaction In Protecting The Chesapeake Bay

BALTIMORE, MD— Today, entrepreneur Mike Rosenbaum issued the following statement slamming Governor Larry Hogan for incrementalism and for failing to hold bad actors accountable in protecting the Chesapeake Bay. This statement comes on the heels of Governor Hogan signing a commitment to collaborate with other Chesapeake Bay watershed states hosted by the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, who’s own President criticized the effort saying that the commitment is “taking small steps at a time when bold action is needed.”

“When it comes to protecting the Chesapeake Bay, incrementalism is cowardice. The Bay is one of Maryland’s most treasured natural resources and a proven economic driver that supports thousands of good-paying jobs. Maryland’s next governor will need to not just protect the Chesapeake Bay but also hold polluters and bad actors accountable, as well as ensure that other states actually live up to their end of the bargain,” said Rosenbaum. “When big action is needed, we cannot afford to sit on the sidelines. Maryland deserves a governor that sees the Chesapeake Bay as central to the clean energy economy, our well-being, and our future.”
